Funny Auburn Story
Now Alan and Scott I know will never forget this Lucas moment. We were all hanging out at the famous Dubose Apartments in Auburn in Spring of 2000 (I think). Lucas had just become Alan’s neighbor in this small apartment complex. Anyways, Lucas had figured a way not to pay for power by messing with the power box. He would have to jiggle with it every now and then to keep it on. One day he kept coming back and saying they must have figured it out. Lucas was not going to give up though. Anyways he went back to mess with it and this time when he comes back he looks like he saw a Ghost. He really couldnt talk. He walked into Alan’s and just said “I got Electrocuted”. His hair was even standing up. He then just sat there and kinda was silent the rest of the day. We were obviously very concerned at first when he said he got electrocuted, but once we saw he was fine we could not stop laughing. I know we all shared many laughs with Lucas about the time he got electrocuted..

He told me he couldn’t see but could here the fire truck sirens. He was the king of free/no utilities. He would sometimes say he wanted to live in Africa for a little while with the tribes, and could see him surviving for sure. Reminds me of another incident when we first moved into the shack on Glenn and he walked into a bracket and hurt his eye. His eye looked much worse than it felt, and he got a kick out of going out in public and “giving people the eye” as he called it. It was very funny to see thier reactions.

He lived in our den on Genelda Street for a couple of months after Dubose Apartments.. This house was a fraternity party house. There were 6 guys that lived there and partied every night. Lucas got my Yukon packed all of his stuff into it and moved into the den. He pushed my two couches together in the den and made a pretty comfortable bed out of them. He was having a good time every night he was there. Every guy that lived there loved Cool Hand Luke and hated to see him move. He then moved in with Hal and Christopher
